How 商标注册 Works

The trademark registration process can feel mysterious if you've never been through it. Here's what actually happens, in plain language, from your first inquiry to holding the registration certificate.

Step 1: Free Consultation

You contact us. We have a free 30-minute call to understand your brand, your goals, and your timeline. We'll flag any obvious risks and give you a written quote.

Step 2: 商标查询

Once you give us the green light, we search the Thai DIP database for conflicting marks. We check exact matches, similar marks, and phonetic conflicts. This usually takes 1–3 business days.

Step 3: Application Drafting

We draft the application with the right Nice classes and goods/services descriptions. You review and approve it before we file. This takes another 1–2 days.

Step 4: Filing with the DIP

We submit electronically. The DIP issues a filing receipt with your application number and date. From this moment, your priority is locked in.

Step 5: Examination

The DIP examiner reviews the application for formalities and registrability. This is the longest phase — typically 6–12 months in the queue.

Step 6: Office Actions (if any)

If the examiner raises objections, we draft a response within the deadline. Most office actions can be overcome with the right argument.

Step 7: Publication & Opposition

Approved marks are published in the trademark gazette for 60 days. Third parties can oppose during this window. If no opposition, you proceed to registration.

Step 8: Registration Certificate

You pay the registration fee, and the DIP issues your certificate. Your trademark is now legally protected for 10 years.

We handle every step on your behalf. You only need to give input at the start (the brief) and the end (signing the certificate).
